Games

Hahah. Minyi introduced this website to me yesterday and I haven't stopped playing the games there since. One particularly challenging one (other than the growth cube) is called Chronon and it really tests the IQ :D

solar eclipse

Happy Lunar New Year to all! :D

My new year today is quite special as my siblings and I went to watch the solar eclipse at science centre! It was quite cool; everyone sitting on the grass patch with the funky glasses staring at the sky while the sun was shining mercilessly down on us.

Didn't get to see the full 80% eclipse because the clouds covered the sun! But we managed to catch about 60% of the sun being covered by the moon which was good enough (:

Anyway, I love this picture because we both look so happy. Hehehe. My sister ferried us around in the large family car which felt quite.. weird. But it was a pretty good day of collecting ang paos, stuffing myself silly with goodies and seeing all my relatives! :D

Hmm.. it's day 2 of CNY tomorrow. Hope everyone will have a pleasant day! (before school starts again, that is)

hippue love

Check out my floating hippo, who's approximately 10 years old. She's got a mother hippo who has the same name and is about five times larger than she is. Got them as a pair for my 8th birthday i think. <3

I remember losing this baby hippo for about 2 to 3 years when i was about 11 years old and found it again while cleaning up my room. How cool~

back to blogging

I've been neglecting this blog ever since I started my 365 tumblr. Sorry, bloggie!

Hmmm lemme see what I should blog about. Haha. School's been rather hectic lately, which explains my lack of Chinese New Year preparations. Didn't shop for new clothes, didn't do spring cleaning~ But I did clean up the contents in my laptop! :D It's really satisfying to see the available space on the hard drive increase! Might just be me who feels this way but uhh.. nevermind.

Ooh and we had our HOM front-desk practical test on Tuesday. There was macro econs common test too, but let's not talk about that :( I was selected to role-play as the front-desk receptionist and it did not go well. But Ms Ho did say that no one will fail, which is a consolation to my wounded confidence. I need to learn to react to situations under pressure more positively!

Daohui! I've done the personality quiz. I'm a INFP aka The Dreamer :P

"INFPs are introspective, private, creative and highly idealistic individuals that have a constant desire to be on a meaningful path. They are driven by their values and seek peace. Empathetic and compassionate, they want to help others and humanity as a whole. INFPs are imaginitive, artistic and often have a talent for language and writing. They can also be described as easygoing, selfless, guarded, adaptable, patient and loyal.

They will find great satisfaction if they encourage and develop their artistic abilities. That doesn't mean that an INFP has to be a famous writer or painter in order to be content. Simply the act of "creating" will be a fulfilling source of renewal and refreshment to the INFP."

True, except that I'm not quite a patient person (:

hmhmmh

ITB, you mother of pearl! (inside joke) :( The website's driving me nutzzz. Patience, I need more patience. And time, yes, time in abundance wouldn't hurt as well!

On another note, I finally got my contacts so no more uncomfortable spectacles! :)

We're getting swamped by project after project so.. it's been pretty tiring & we're all getting stressed out. Can't wait for everything to be over~ Quite sad considering that I alternate between having gastric or stomach upset almost every morning, and lack sleep. Even weekends are usually occupied..

What Gladys said is true! We either have no free time and are busy like mad [during school days/rushing deadlines], or we have absolutely nothing to do and waste the day away [during school vacation]. Why can't time be transferable??

yawn

It's only the third day of school since the break ended and I feel really tired :( The switch from 13h of sleep (a day) previously to 4 - 5h of currently is making me miserable. When morning comes, I wake up, groan and rub my swollen lack-of-sleep eyes.

But I do prefer waking earlier as opposed to being up only at noon! The day feels much longer~ I mean, who would want to have dinner just 6 hours after being awake? Plus, there's this nice & fresh smell which lingers in the air every morning (from 7am to around 8am).

Stayed back after school in the library yesterday to film the LMS video. It was quite fun but I honestly prefer being behind the camera's lenses then in front of it. We grew quite distracted (with tetris) towards the end but managed to complete the filming anyway, which was great :) This reminded me of the Motion TV days again, where we travelled to various locations for filming and it was so time consuming!!

Anyway, I've got to get back to my FABM work report. It's due on Friday and I've only covered about 35% so far!

nooooo

My brother, dad and sister are sick. And I'm falling sick too. How nice.

Am getting back into the momentum of doing work, which is good. I'll try to keep my spirit and motivation up for this semester! Just another 2 months, I can do it (:

We had a gathering at my cousin's house yesterday. It’s been a really long time since we all met up like this! Hopefully during CNY we'll get together again :]

01-01-09

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009! May it be a great year ahead for everyone (;

Countdown this year was with Yihui & Zhenning! Jamie was on the floating platform opposite us, haha. We watched the fireworks display from Benjamin Sheares Bridge along with a pretty tame crowd (as compared to previous years). It was spectacular! :) I love fireworks. Hehhehe. The adrenaline rush of watching the beautiful sparks errupt in the sky, coupled with cracking sounds in the background makes the atmosphere so.. special. It was as though the sky was raining glitter! Seriously pretty.
